Trevor Richlen knew he was destined to work in sports medicine from an early age due to his interest in a variety of sports including taekwondo, soccer, Muay Thai, and kickboxing. His journey started at Texas A&M Corpus Christi where he earned his Master’s in Kinesiology (2014) and then on to the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences where he received his doctorate in Physical Therapy (2016). Along the way, he accumulated strength and conditioning experience as well as years in sport orthopedic settings, all of which he credits for furthering his passion in the field.
He spends a good amount of his time in the gym coaching and lifting weights with his older brother and enjoys any opportunity to talk to people about physical fitness and injury prevention. If you can’t find him at work or the gym it is a safe bet that he’s on the coast catching a wave on his longboard or fishing for redfish to grill later on.
