Laura graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with High Honors earning her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in 2017 and from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB) earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2020. Laura enjoys working with patients with orthopedic and sports injuries, so she graduated from an Orthopedic Residency through Evidence in Motion in 2021 to become a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association. She also has her Dry Needling certification through the Institute of Athlete Regeneration and loves to continue learning about other ancillary treatment approaches.
Laura’s background as an Athletic Trainer and her passion for rehabilitating orthopedic and sport injuries, led her to Austin Sports Medicine, where she enjoys getting to know patients and their rehabilitation goals.
Outside the clinic, Laura enjoys playing tennis, her high school sport, and being active by trying various recreational activities such as playing pickle ball, bouldering, and lifting weights. She also enjoys trying different types of food around Austin and spending time with her husband, Matthew, and her dog Winston.
